Singer, Songwriter, Radio DJ.

Fred Schane is a DJ for WSBS 860AM in Great Barrington, MA.

"What better place to work as a singer-songwriter than a radio station. As a musician, I find that my guitar (or geek box, as I call it) is therapeutic. And being in radio gives me the opportunity to help local musicians come to the forefront for a large listening audience."

The Same Things
by Fred Schane

Does the universe see me like I see myself
Should have, could've, would've done better
'Cause what's said is done
And what's been done been talked about

'Cause we could be here all night
Thinkin' about the same things
'Cause we could be here all night
Talkin' about the same things

Time will tell the story better than the bible did
But only if you've got the time
Could it be it matters? Is it tacit or mysterious?
There's only one way to know

'Cause we could be here all night
Thinkin' about the same things
'Cause we could be here all night
Talkin' about the same things

Could it be
I stared in your eyes forever
Or was it just a glance?
I heard the we
Tore up the dance floor
Was it just the moment
Or just the circumstance?

And there are days
I'd have the confidence
Just to tell you
What was on my mind

And then the day
We sat and watch the paint dry
Smoking cigarettes and flying
And it made me want to say
That maybe we
Could spend more time together
But then I choked up and I messed up
And I asked about your boyfriend

And there are days
I'd have the confidence
Just to tell you
What was on my mind

And as the silhouettes take over thoughts about of loving you
And watching the morning rise
Some might say I'm crazy, some might say delerious
And I don't really mind

'Cause we could be here all night
Thinkin' about the same things
'Cause we could be here all night
Talkin' about the same things
